School according to Ethan

Ethan: Did you know that when trees lose their leaves they are naked?
Me: uhh, yeah, your right, I guess they are.

10 minutes later as we are driving down the road it registers that Ethan has been yelling "Naked!" " Naked!"
I gasp and quickly look around, then at him in my mirror "ETHAN! Who are you talking to?!"

Ethan: The trees, Half Naked! Naked, naked, half naked, half naked.

duh....

After exercising last night, I was stretching on the exercise ball (to relax my back & shoulder muscles I lay on the fitness 65cm ball with my back and my feet on the floor, arms open wide, if you can get the  picture....so it's kinda not dangerous position, but if you lose your balance it might not be so relaxing of one...)  so there I am relaxed, deep breathing, eyes closed,  Ethan walks in the room and over to me saying, "Mom, did you know crickets poop?" I open my eyes and there in front of my face was 3 LIVE, MOVING CRICKETS....I don't know how I didn't fall off that ball, I guess I realized they were inside a clear box of some sort and not about to jump on me so I recovered in time to not injure myself.
Outside looking for Crickets

He said yesterday at school a classmate went to the  bathroom they have in their class. While in there the child somehow punctured one of the water pipes, on purpose and water started spraying everywhere, the child comes out of the bathroom wet, with his pants and undergarments either off or around his ankles cause the entire classroom seen his... "everything" (yes Ethan was more descriptive than that) and water was spraying everywhere in the bathroom....I am still not sure what happened at school but, the entire class found it quite funny......

It might be awhile until I blog again, not sure what is in the next two weeks or I might have all the time in the world on Fall Break and blog again this weekend. Either way I wanted to take time to tell you how much Ethan is loving school, actually he is FINALLY loving to learn! Even at home with me so that is nice and encouraging! We have our Fall Fest this weekend and I was put over games and of course, it looks like rain...so much for my weeks of planning....hopefully we will have a lot of good pics and Fun and I will blog about it for you next week!
I love you all and Miss you! Uhh, if you don't know me real well and wonder why I am saying this to you, normally just my family, my long distance family and long distance friends read my blog......  ;) Better run, I hear Tre` outside the window saying, "Ethan, come here I found another Cricket!"  Oh how I hate bugs.....
Inside reading Dr. Suess! ;)

Delicious, is in the mouth of the taster?

Sun dried tomatoes & Chicken Penne
So I didn't have penne pasta and I used spaghetti still I thought it was DELICIOUS! My kids, all 4 beautiful, sweet non-complaining little angels.....hated it. Jadyn comes in asks what's for dinner, Tre` was looking at it and answers with "Throw-Up! Looks like!"  I didn't laugh then, he got in trouble but, I laughed so hard telling Gary what we were having for dinner according to the kids that I couldn't talk. You have to know Gary, he is VERY PICKY with food.He says, "Sounds wonderful, I hope you have a plan B for me!"

So what is this?  And why am I blogging about it?

#1- I am looking for easy meals to cook in the crock pot while I am working. so that when I get home I don't have to spend an 1hr or more on cooking dinner!

#2 -In spite of what my kids said, it really was a good meal.  here the extras I did to mine which I doubled of course: no butter. 3/4 small container of heavy whipping cream, milk, fresh garlic, chopped fresh oregano, freshly grated Parmesan (cheese section at the grocery you grate it yourself) cheese I put all this in the crock pot with the chicken on Low all day, I did turn it to High and thickened it with cornstarch and cold water mixed together then poured into the crock pot while I  made the pasta, and steamed Broc to go with  it. Served with salad, and garlic bread.
Here is the website recipe, click on the picture I think it will take you right to it ;)

My Brother's Keeper

Today is my brother's 30th Birthday! Happy Birthday Seth Micheal! I love you!

I was always so mean to my brother....AND my sister growing up. I guess that is normal but still, looking back I wish I was a better big sister and had taken time to get to know my little brother. I was closer to my sister cause we went through those teen years together, and I always secretly wanted her to come get in bed with me cause I was afraid! Of course I couldn't tell her that then, but many nights up till I got married she slept with me in my little water bed, in the mornings we would both be stuck on opposite sides of the bed between the frame and mattress, precious memories.
My brother is 4 yrs younger than me which seemed like 10 yrs when we were kids. I never realized how much I loved him, nor what all he went through after I left home. I was married at 18 and at 20 dad had his aneurism. Seth was 14 when I left home. Sometimes, I think, he must have felt like his world was falling apart! My dad almost dying, moving from the house we loved, to the parsonage at Dryden Road, and then how all the changes he went through at such a hard age in his life. I wish I had been there more for him. Of course by then I had 2 babies, 11mo apart. I remember night after night sitting in bed with Cayden asleep on one side and Tre` asleep on the other, praying and crying that God would keep my little brother safe, that he wouldn't die lost, and that he would come back home. The first cd "In One Accord" made I sang, "Come On In". I remember at a few practices just tearing up, just hoping one day Seth would hear it and know it was for him.
Wedding Day!

When he was younger I protected him from bullies, if you don't know my brother, but you know my son Tre`, you know EXACTLY what Seth looks like (except he has filled out nicely lol!) so nobody could mess with my brother. I remember one time he went to Youth camp and came home with bruises all over his chest and back.....I was more mad than my mom, I was ready to go to the police station & press charges! I couldn't believe that would happen and CHURCH camp! Now you know why I am so paranoid about letting my own boys go to church camp! I could punch his arm so hard he dropped to the ground, but nobody else had better mess with my little brother!

All pretty!
All though I tried to be my brother's keeper, I am so thankful each day that he has a better Keeper than I now. God has blessed his life with salvation, mercy, grace, A beautiful wife who is not only a sister in law but a best friend, and a beautiful sweet little Taylor, and another one on the way! Thank- you God for my Brother, who is a best friend to me, and most of all thank you for being "My Brother's Keeper"

Having Fun!

When I get there

Sometimes it is easier said than done. So it is especially comforting when God lets you feel His presence in the midst of the storm, when your doing what your supposed to, yet not feeling what you want to, not finding the answer to the problem.
When your going thru the motions, without emotion, the faith, or hope. It's an answer to prayer to know even in those times He is still there, and He is still listening to our prayer, and that one day, when it's time....God's time, the miracle will be there...where it has always been...waiting for us.

Truth Is...

~ Precious ~ Priceless ~ Unchanging ~ Non conforming ~ Uncompromising ~ Unshakable ~
~ My Hope ~ My Joy ~ My Peace ~ My Refuge ~ My Restoration ~ My Promise from God ~
Truth is based on God, and His word. Some try to twist the words of God to justify their life's choice, their life's failures, or the plans they have for their Life. God in His love even warns us of this, and of false Prophets in the day in which we live. Men have always tried to twist God's truth to justify the sin in their own lives. I am not a smart person, many times I don't understand what the Bible means or what a preacher has preached or sometimes, maybe I just want to argue the point because it is "MY THING" , like a child I don't like being told no.

2 Timothy 4:3
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
 Matthew 24:11
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

~In those times I have prayed for wisdom, and sought the council of those around me. I do not have Bishop TD JAKES , Joel Olsteen, Benny Henn, Several local popular preachers, etc. on my list of advisers, my list is a much more humble and less popular group of people.

 Matthew 24:24
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Mark 13:22
For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
 1 John 4:1
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

First I ask my husband, whose life I have watch for 16 yrs, and know without a doubt he will tell me the truth according to God's word. Or I ask, my Pastor, Bro. Bennie.( and now Bro JR *smile*) Or my sister whose life I know in ways most people would never understand, my sister in law Lori, or Sarah, my friends. I ask my parents, and others that I know without ONE doubt are saved..
okay let me break that down ......to a  GET  SERIOUS level of advisers. If you thought the Rapture took place, which is Christ return for His church, who would you call first to see if you missed it? I remember as a child having that fear or even as an adult knowing my walk with Christ was getting lukewarm and have a moment of panic when I couldn't find the kids anywhere, couldn't hear them....in that moment of total fear, who would you call, then who would be next on that list? IF you answer this with TRUTH, it would be those that you should seek council from, it would be those very people that you should ask for advise.
Not Amnon's friend, not your friend, or family member who tells you to "live however you want, you deserve to be happy, God looks on the inside and not the outside, come listen to my preacher, come go to my church"
2 Samuel 13:3
But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man.
Thanks to the council of that friend, Amnon not only ended up murdered himself, but in the process he destroyed the lives of those he once loved. He harmed and violated the innocent, ruined their life. Brought shame to his father and family, and caused more sin to be bred from his desire for "MY THING". Your desire may not be the same as Amnon's, and with that you try to justify your actions. Amnon could have had the thing he wanted without ever sinning to get it, yet he listened to the advise of a "friend".

Click on any of the links to go to the web site and read these for yourself. Make sure you read the KJV of these as it is the Truth. As Nathan Tinsley taught one morning, to be another version you have to be at least 10% different, and if it's different, it's not the same.

hope you enjoy your weekend!
Love!

Tissue, please!

A lot of changes in our lives lately. Here are two tissue moments for you, both needing a tissue both for very different!
First I started substitute teaching. The State of  In. you only have to have a High School diploma to do so. I know you all was wondering how, and if you wondered if I had a HSD, well now you know ;)
So first day was 6th grade, 2nd day was 6th grade. On the second day, one of the kids was teasing the other about needing a tissue, I grabbed the tissue box off the teachers desk, offered it to the student asking if he needed a tissue. That student looks at the tissue box and then he and the other 3 students at his desk group busted out laughing, they laughed so hard they couldn't talk, then the 3 groups around them started laughing.....I was thinking well...okay...not really getting what was so funny. I turned around to put the tissues away and that was when I noticed it. I had grabbed the "TISSUE BOX" and LEFT THE TISSUES ON THE DESK....yeah, a GREAT way to start out the day & to appear authoritative to a classroom of 6th graders.....so enough said on that subject.

Also we have a new Pastor at our church Bro Jr Alexander.....so much has happened and all of it good. Thankful for God blessing us like he has! Looking forward to the future!
