Happy Birthday to my Baby Girl.....

The biggest question is HOW did you get to be 8 so fast?! Wasn't it just yesterday you was born? While the years drag me kicking and screaming, I also look back with a thankful heart that you lived to see 8!  I know there are worse problems and more serious illness that newborns cope with all the time and live through, but they aren't my newborn, and your own little problem was serious enough for me! I am thankful God let us keep you!
Sometimes, I look at you and the way you approach life, and it amazes me. You have so much joy and expectations for your life, it reminds me of my own childhood dreams. I pray God will bless your life beyond what you may dream, to the life he has planned for you. I pray you learn from my mistakes and don't have to make them yourself. I pray you always love me and listen to me as you do now. I pray you love God with all your heart. I pray you stay pure. I pray God keeps you safe. I pray you stay as sweet as you are now. I pray your heart isn't ever broken beyond repair. I pray you learn to take the hurt Life may bring you and forgive, let go, and be Stronger for it. Most of all when I pray for you, I thank God for giving you to me, Your my every prayer for a little girl answered. You'll always be my baby girl! I love you.

Guess what....

Honda called Gary yesterday and he starts work on July11th. Yea.....I think! ;)
We had Camp meeting this week at Eastern Indian Fellowship, we only went Wed, and Thurs but I am exhausted!

Now to pack for Va., so I probably won't be on here to update before I leave again as I have a lot to get done.
I will blog when I get back, try not to miss me to much! ;)

Spring cleaning the blog, Exciting news, Your Prayers, and the hope of a maybe!

Yeah, I do enjoy changing my blog, it's like rearranging furniture....without the backlash of pain from my neck!

So I am pretty excited right now.....I get to go see my Brother, Sarah & Taylor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I honestly don't know if that was enough "!'s" to convey how excited I feel. Once I get back from there I will get to go to Springville to stay with my parents!
I wanted to say thanks for all the prayers for Gary a job nearby. We aren't 100% certain that he has the job at Honda, but he has passed all test and went for the physical and the Drug test. They fitted him for a uniform and also asked him what name he wanted on it. So we are hoping that means he got the job but, we also don't want to get to excited in case it doesn't happen. We should hear sometime this month or the middle of next month.
I can't say thanks enough for the prayers for our little family in the last 6-8 months, it goes without saying we have needed them, in more ways than one. Darwin preached the other day, sometime we just need the hope of a maybe, to be honest sometimes that hope in that not so certain word is all we have, but it is enough to defeat a whole garrison of doubt!
I know I am not very interesting today so I better run...well not literally  I would pass out, but I better let you go so you don't miss anything on Facebook! ;)

Happy Fathers Day!

Sunday is Father's Day.  What a jumble of thoughts that brings....
I am thankful that my dad is here on this Father's Day. For the longest time I would always think this could be his last Father's Day or his last whatever day it was, now I can look back at all the days God has given him beyond what could have been. I am thankful and humbled. I am blessed to have had such a great Dad. He never once yelled at me, and I used to HATE when he would spank me........cause then he would want to hug me and tell me how much he loved me, I hated that, I mean how can you stay mad at him when he does things like that?! I remember he used to forget to pick me up from work, I would be sitting there for over an hour waiting....I remember going out to eat and we would be ready to pay and surprise! Dad forgot his wallet, I can't tell you how many times that happened! He smells like wood. His hands are like sandpaper. He laughs a lot. He sings reallllly stupid songs. He gives awful nicknames. He sings songs to you, using your nickname you hate. He loves ice cream. He LOVES my mom. I remember hoping when I was a teenager that I would marry somebody who loves me like my dad loves my mom. He loves us kids. He thinks I'm beautiful.......delusional I know but still! He thinks I sing better than....well better than I do! He forgets his keys and loses them a lot. He leaves his doors open on the cars and runs down the battery....a lot. Couple months ago he left the hatch up in the back of my moms SUV and TWO disgusting, stinky dogs climbed in and slept in her SUV... all night! She was SOOOO mad. He has lost his first born son. He has lost his strength to provide for his family. He has went through untold pain, and does so every day. He has never lost his smile, never lost his laughter, never lost his sense of humor, never lost his faith. He's my dad and all those annoying and endearing things make him who he is, I wouldn't change him for anything. I don't think you read my blog but if you do......I love you dad, Happy Father's day!

Product Review & Yada Yada

My sister confessed to me the other day, after trying to avoid my question, that the reason she didn't read my blog was because she thought it was only product review, which she thinks is boring. She's so weird. ;)

Don't you hate when you buy the ingredients to make something new and it turns out awful? Me too. So, Lucy Templeton was telling me about this marinade the other day and I tried it. Very good!

Kroger Brand Chipotle Lime- Marinade 2 days, Grill. On sale at Kroger this week 4 for $5!

Another grilling recipe I love it from Sara Tussey. I hate to admit it but Sara is an awesome cook! ;)

Grilled Peaches

Cut peach in 1/2, remove pit, grill face down 4 min, turn over put butter and brown sugar into center of peach ( the hole where you removed the pit) Sprinkle with cinnamon, grill 4 min or until tender. AWESOME!!!!

A day at Brookville Lake

So yesterday I weeded the garden for 5 hrs. gave me plenty of thinking time so I called Lori when I was done to see if she would want to meet at Brookville Lake for a picnic. Later that day Lucy text me to see if I wanted to walk, and her and Kristie decided to go with us as well. It was a last minute thing but we all had a lot of fun! Perfect day for the park. Product Review ;)

Snuggle Fabric Softner A+
I have never really cared for Snuggle, but Kroger had a display out and every time I bought groceries I was smelling this wonderful smell so....when I went to get FS this past week I checked out the Snuggle.
The Pink bottle was eye level so I sniffed it first....WONDERFUL! I love it, my clothes smell awesome. It's like when you use the expensive Downey it last for days!  The pink is Wild Orchid & Vanilla.

So there you have my humble opinion once more....I am sure you missed it ;)

My Mother-In-Laws Vacation...

AKA-my week of exhaustion!
Seriously, Millie took the week off, and had this list of things she wanted (me) to accomplish. lol! So monday, we rearranged the front room, cleaned under the furniture, moved furniture, redecorated, hung her Uppercase Living. Tues. I don't remember what we did, it wasn't like Monday but we still did stuff. Wednessday, started out with talking about the kitchen and how she was tired of her decor, so I  took all of it out for the yard sale she is having Friday, then we cleaned out her computer room carried out her old desk, and some stackable wood boxes she was tired of, Then the boys and I ripped up carpet and padding and we all four tour up nails, and staples out of the floor, swept, and mopped the wood floor under the old carpet....Wed was by far the worse day I am still paying for Wed. ;) Thurs we went to Lori's house and the kids swam in the cold water.
Friday we tried to clean up, mostly the messes we had made while cleaning ;)  Now it is Monday....and she is back to work hopefully she can get some rest there! lol!
I started a diet yesterday, Gary took me to Red Lobster and ordered Lobster Nachos, those are so good....I couldn't eat them. Then they brought the biscuits......I couldn't eat them. Then they brought my meal....I was so mad. I ordered a grilled chicken breast, steamed broccoli. The chicken breast was what they gave for the kids meal, and mine was dry. Then we went to Menards where Gary told the kids to get a candy bar, so we all get in the van and they all have KING SIZED Crunch bars. Gary looks over at me, and said "are you mad?" like he couldn't figure out why I would be mad,  I said "YES! You know how mad I am over dinner and then you all get KING SIZE candy bars, and I had to walk by them AND THE POP!"  He was laughing and said he was sorry he didn't even think about it. So I come home to log my food and seen I only had a little over 100 cal left for the day.....Then I reallllllly got mad. Needless to say after church I knew he would go to Pizza King so I told him "If we go to Pizza King I am eating 1/2 of the 16in pizza!" I ate. Not quite as bad as I  thought but....
As you can see I am still upset over my diet haha!
While we were at Red Lobster, I looked up at Gary and he was dying laughing and pointing at Ethan, who was sitting beside him.  Ethan had taken the little cup coaster and was trying his best to get it in his pocket! He was having trouble getting it to fit but he kept jamming it over and over till he got it in. A few minutes later he pulls it out and ask me what he can buy with it! After he found out it was worthless, he ripped it up and left it on the table.

So I know my blog today is not very interesting but, it is a day (week) in my life. ;) I just wish I was a food critic I would so love to write an article on Red Lobster, since I am not my opinion of the meal I had was an F! ;) I guess I will have to be content with that ;)
